Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a National Account Manager (NAM) to develop and expand the gains we have made in the last year with a grocery account. The role will be home-based with regular travel to both client site and our offices in Banbury and Hurley (near Maidenhead, Berkshire). This role will be key to our success in 2018/2019 and our 5-year plan for growth. This is a high-profile role and will involve regular exposure to our board and other key stakeholders within the business.
We see this role as an excellent route to further grocery career progression within JDE and applicants must have both the potential and desire to progress.
The Role
This is a broad Account Manager position with a challenging but high potential customer. The successful individual will need to be able to take ownership of their own account and can balance Customer, Category and Strategic Company targets.
The key areas of responsibility are:
The delivery of customer AOP P&L; encompassing agreed volume, NSV, GP & GP% measures
The pricing, promotion, negotiating and account planning on the customer account
Developing Customer Relationships and bring the customer strategy into JDE
Understanding of Category, Market, Customer and Consumer dynamics
Negotiation of NPD listings & distribution extensions for existing products
Promotional Evaluation
Leadership of Internal Business Planning & Stakeholder Management
Leveraging internal resource to deliver results effectively
The Person
This role would suit someone currently operating at a NAM level looking to get exposure to bigger/different customers or a high-potential National Account Exec (NAE) wanting to fast-track their career and work with accounts that have untapped potential.
Proven UK Account Management experience in a retail FMCG brand environment, preferably having experience of dealing with a top 6 customer
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work with others to deliver a specific customer strategy
Degree educated (or equivalent)
Ability to demonstrate NSV growth achievement and a strong ability/restlessness to seek out further growth
The nature of this role requires strategic capability, strong internal networks and cross-functional relationship building skills
Ability to deal with ambiguity, lack of data and at ease with difficult and demanding customer conversations

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
